I am planning to go to Emory but I just wanted to make sure that I am making the right decision.

I am considering Brown because of its reputation and small class size. However, the program is really relatively new.

Does anyone of you know how big is the class size for Emory's BSHE program?

Thank you.

Brown isn't ranked because it's only a department within the University (Med School?), not a school itself, and USNWR only ranks schools (same thing for Dartmouth). There are definitely some negative implications of a department-based public health program (research opportunities, size, etc.), but I wouldn't write it off just because it isn't ranked or because it isn't a school.

That said, Emory is supposedly a wonderful environment for public health studies. It's size, location (CDC), PH alumni network, and Public Health reputation are second to very few other schools. I think if you root around hard enough, you can find some good SDN threads on Emory. Brown info on this forum, however, seems to be a bit lacking.

I imagine a visit to the school would do wonders for your decision making.

Good luck!

Very true. Which means they probably have limited resources for MPH students. Small is good but you don't want it so small you don't have enough networking opps to get jobs after graduation.

I have picked Emory since I believe this will give me more job opportunities as opposed to Brown.

I believe i have made the right choice.

Thank you for your advice.
