Did anyone hear from Emory yet? I think their acceptance letter for this round is out already.. ahhhhh.. good luck!
From what I can tell...two people have been accepted to Emory, so the December letters have definitely gone out. Best of Luck to everyone!!!
interviewed on 12/08
are u from georgia?
Nope. I live in Massachusetts.
interviewed on 12/08
Not necessarily. They consider you at each meeting, and waitlist/rejections don't go out until the end of the season.hey - a girl i know who interviewed there told me the same thing that the adcom was supposed to meet on the 19th (today). just wondrin tho - if you've interviewed and haven't heard by a certain date at the end of that month, does that pretty much mean you're waitlisted?
does emory send out interview invites via snail mail or email? thanks!
Yea looks like they already mailed out. Man I'm dissapointed, Emory's my top choice and I was hoping to get in first round. I'm from Ga with a 4.0 and 33 so I thought that would be enough to get in no sweat but now I have to wait till like Jan. to find out again maybe. Is Emory your top choice too ahhh123?
I still haven't gotten an interview here...
Is Emory known for a late(ish) cycle? I still haven't gotten an interview here...
Any school that takes upwards of two months to both acknowledge receiving a check and then download rec letters is late(ish) in my opinion.

Where is emory located again?
Seriously people, it's called "Google."hahah atlanta, georgia

Chester why'd you say you were waiting on an interview from emory but your mdapps page said you interviewed there already?

i heard emory is spending 100k to build a statue of their unofficial mascot named "dooley" which is a skeleton...? is this true?
i heard emory is spending 100k to build a statue of their unofficial mascot named "dooley" which is a skeleton...? is this true?
100% true....im an undergrad at emory and they spend money in ways that will make your jaw drop sometimes...i guess thats what happens when you have more money than you know what to do with....alot of students said the idea (and price) was ridiculous so it might not actually happen...
oh i see... i heard that they changed their shuttle routes and now students at their "clairmont" campus have to wait like 30 min to get on the shuttle? is that true too?
No dude, trust me -- I interviewed there, and I know what I'm talking about. The campus is located entirely within the Googleplex. Google bought the school last year and relocated. It's a pretty sweet program though. They make sure you have plenty of downtime -- lectures are filled with people throwing paper airplanes, and 20% of your time there goes to working on your own medical projects. Really tough interview process though.Google?
I am pretty sure its Atlanta, GA.
Isn't Clairmont Campus where med students choose to live?
Fellow alum here from Emory and yes, Clairmont is where med students will live if they opt too; however, they'll be on the graduate student side. I lived there when it first opened it's doors for my last year of graduate school. It was very nice - although I think the rooms are small. As for the shuttles, I did not need to wait 30mins to catch the shuttle. The shuttle that runs from clairmont campus is the most frequent shuttle @ Emory. I guess it would depend on the time of day you elect to ride the shuttle as there are heavier times during the day for riding the shuttle as one of the parking decks located at Clairmont is for staff parking so they ride the shuttles as well as students.
As for what Emory spends their $ on....I always thought my tuition dollars went to the landscaping of the University. They are always putting in new plants somewhere.![]()
Did anyone else who was accepted get an e-mail from one of their interviewers?
