It would be pretty ballsy for a wolf to give up their vote, and to assume the actual royals don't know one another.

And they don't know if royals can't be NK.

This doesn't make too much sense.

What is your motivation here?
To hear others’ thoughts on if it was likely or unlikely, hence asking the question

This is why I prefer not to speculate on mechanics unless we have convincing evidence of something - like we did in the Bioshock game with one of the wolf yeets. Otherwise it's too easy to go down a rabbit hole that isn't actually anything, and it's an easy way for wolves to lead the village astray.

JMHO.
since i didn't play or follow bioshock i'll take your word for it, but i really don't think we've gone that far down a rabbit hole yet, it was a pretty direct assumption from a clearly officially stated mechanic

hows this for tin foil rabbit hole though: maybe royals can still place votes, but it doesn't count in the actual final tally, so it allows them to blend in and then it'll be a mystery as to whose votes didn't count in the end

okay okay I'll leave this alone now

To add to this, it also feels a little weird to me that Vissy said that and hasn't placed a vote. Not voting yet by itself isn't that weird, but in combination with that statement, feels a little odd.
It’s weird that I didn’t place a vote when only about 4-5 people checked in?

After speculating about mechanics involving holding votes as part of a ruse, I think it's a little weird. I can think of explanations for it, but I'm making a note of it.

we’ll know who royals are by end of day
Per the post they can’t vote in elections.
I mean not necessarily though? We'll know who is not a royal. And even that's assuming that everyone we see cast a vote is truly not a royal. i.e. How is it handled when a royal places (or tries to place) a vote for PM? Do they show up on tallies but just not count?

I mean you joke but you make my point for me

I’m kind of feeling like voting someone with experience, so they’ll presumably be an effective PM if their intentions are pure... and on whom village would especially benefit from extra scrutiny, in case they’re wolfing. I also feel better voting for someone who is inviting the scrutiny of elected office, since the only game I’ve played with mayors, wolves desperately wanted to avoid it (I know that’s not universal but I just feel like wanting to avoid it is more common).

Sure. Fair questions. If they don’t vote at all though it would give us a pretty good idea. I think it’s worth asking.

Here’s my real pitch:
For one, I spend way too much time on WW. Winning as a neutral on my vacation was one of the highlights of my vacation, so at least you know I’m dedicated.
But my biggest positive, I’m a mediocre player at this game. The Prime Minister could be a huge target for the wolves. If you lose me? No big deal. I’m not that good anyway. You lose shorty? Lose a great mind that does incredible ISO’s and solved Bioshock.
MsP? She had an incredible POE last game.
SAR has much more knowledge than I.
I don’t know doc at all so I can’t comment there.
Thus giving the mediocre player the role of PM and putting a target on my back instead of anyone who is truly useful to village is probably the best bet.
thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
How did Shory solve Bioshock?

Why does this entire thing read as one giant pocketing/buddying post?

Vote Ms P
Why? This feels wolfy. You want Mayor to go to a quiter player.

EDIT : on request of mod. I meant quieter.
Quiter though isn't a scrabble word, and *might* mean quitter or someone dead, neither of which I meant to say.

In the first few hours of a game that represents my first WW in like 2+ years? I may talk a lot of bravado, but let's be honest. I am sort of not at my best right now. I really am doing it just to try to make sure I have motivation to keep my involvement high (only way I'm going to actually do my reputation justice).

For *once* with me. It's not that deep.
This reads like all lies. And I always assume humility, coming from you, is false.

I do agree keeping DocE around as long as we safely can since he's just out of a lengthy retirement.

Although I thought you said in sign ups runescape wasn't that long ago....?

All these votes for samac are wigging me out. Don't you guys remember how hard she was to read as a wolf???
3 people voted for me because I did well as mayor in the noob game.
Why you throwing so much shade already because I wolfed well once?

She figured out the post and figured out you, how did she not solve bioshock? Feels weird that you’re downplaying that excellence.

and I have a campaign speech, why I think I’m the best candidate. You don’t have to vote me
go on and start that tunnel though.

No. But. For real. Vote for me.
#whatstheworstthatcanhappen.

Actually don't answer that otherwise you're all going to honestly consider it and then come for me. I just want more power. But in an honestly "it will be more fun for me" way. Non wolfy non chaos way.

Just do it.
Gonna vote DocE.

#### elect DocE ####

If he's a wolf the added pressure on him will be good. If he's villager the added focus and a PR in his hands will probably be a good thing. Win win. Plus I think he deserves the extra fun for coming out of retirement to play.

Hahaha even I know it's not. But would you rather have me silently slinking in the background, potentially being a wolf and not drawing newbie attention?

No ma'am. I am going to be right out upfront saying "look at me" and trying to get that prime minister job. And why?

Because I want to adopt Larry the Cat, Chief Mouser

Do you think the added pressure on him if he's a wolf is worth the possibility of him being a wolf with whatever abilities come with being PM? I'm having difficulty reconciling this vote with your two earlier posts about him.

Meanwhile I just looked to see where I was and didn’t pay much attention to the other groups

Yeah especially with something that there’s no way to even get answers on right now

What
I said what too, but royals can't participate in democracy, assume that means they can't vote, which will be able to be figured out EOD looking at tally. Unless they can place a vote but it just doesn't count, that might be trickier.

But too much royal spec could just be fishing.

Oh I thought they were NPC and can't vote ever, lol. Like not even in elims
No I think they can still vote in eliminations.
Royals do not participate in the democratic process.
This means they cannot vote in public elections, nor can they be elected to Parliament.

I think once we had an unseerable wolf MJ elect himself mayor and he got it, too. Just something to keep in mind.

And there's some flavors of unseerable that return a "normal" or village result as opposed to coming back as a failed action or "unknown" or whatever.

That’s terrifying.

…wait why?

and also note that I tend to be on the quieter side, hint hint
I'm saying that I'm surprised by sunshine's vote for MsP, didn't expect that from her, and it feels wolfy, and I think it's because wolves might want the PM role to go to someone on the quieter side.

This feels sorta overreactive for me pointing out possible issues in your posts. How is it "so much shade" to point out how well you wolfed your first (or one of few) wolf out? That's a fact. And it makes you even more dangerous for future wolf outs you started out so high on the curve. Feels weird you're downplaying that excellence.

Not sure how I'm starting a tunnel on you when I'm ripping apart a lot of players' posts. But maybe now the tunnel begins because of this weird reactivity.

And the big defense for Shorty feels weird too, like white knighting or chainsaw defense.

because i was going to try to get shorty elected so the prime minister would be in my group. but shorty doesn't want it.
I'm willing to do it, I just think it would be a better role for someone who is more decisive and less prone to existential crises.

Not sure. We'll see. I'm maybe trusting our village PRs to make sure it isn't a mistake.

The more correct history is that me and I think genny (both villagers) pushed to get him elected and there was much regret later

In any case, DocE's campaigning makes me uncomfortable.
