My college has mandatory writing classes for freshmen; I would think that this at least satisfies part of the English requirement of some dental schools. The thing is, neither the class code nor the name of the class that I took have the words "English", "Eng", or "writing". There's nothing that suggest that it's a class aimed at gauging and improving English writing skills. Is there any way that this can be explained on AADSAS? I'm also a social sciences major, and some of the courses that I've taken and will take are writing-intensive; I'd hate to take more English classes just to satisfy some requirement.

Although AADSAS cares about it (science vs. non-science or whatever it is), who you really should care about are the prospective schools you plan on applying to. I would contact them ASAP before you enroll to ensure ENGL counts as WRTG, or vice versa, or in your case, some other class.

I took writing courses under non-English departments (eg. Scientific Writing in Biology Dept.) and I sent the course's description and syllabus to each school. All schools really liked them and now I am done with the English requirement 😀🙂😉

How did you send them? Via e-mail individually or can this be done through aadsas? Thanks.

email is the fastest way to give them all of the information, but you could call and ask them if/what they need to see to confirm that the class works

I don't think there's a way to send this through AADSAS. I sent a hard copy to all the schools. I guess you can scan your papers and send them via email too 🙂😀😎
