I thought pharmacy was the only professional struggling to find work...but i was stunned when coming across this article:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2010-07-09-1Anurses09_ST_N.htm

Wow...just wow...RN jobs are normally handed to students even before graduating...and now it is bad. If the backbone of healthcare (nursing) is struggling...i wouldn't be surprised to see our pharmacy profession struggling too. No more complaining from me...

Mr. Cobb has a job offer he would like to discuss with you.

This was the most BS movie i ever watched....My friends and I regret every pennies we spent on this movie. No offense but I still can't believe some idiots would think this movie was good..lol...

Well i dont know much about the RN situation but the article states that there is a potential shortage on the way so it doesnt seem like they have too much to worry about in the long run. Not to say that current graduates wont have problems. But then again who isnt having problems?

Yep, RNs not getting jobs is the main reason I currently don't have a hospital job (RN didn't quit her pharmacy job for a nurse job and is instead pursuing BSN while still working at the pharmacy).

Roger Ebert gave it 5/5 stars . . . Richard Roeper said it was "one of the best movies of the century" . . .

No. Not just pharmacy. It happens across the board. It happens in nursing for a while now. There are RNs and NPs without jobs. New grad RNs without jobs will flock to NP school, which will eventually exacerbate NP job market as well. Actually, RN job markets (new grad) is actually worse than pharmacy but it seems like pharmacists and pharm students on SDN are more alarmed with the potential oversupply than most health professionals because of higher financial and time investment.

All allied health fields are getting saturated (even pharmacy). It is where most career changers go.

Can't find a job? Lost a job? Lets go into the health field because they are always in need..

When everyone knows the about the hot field to go into, that is when it you know it is too late to enter it.

sorry but i have no idea who these guys are...David Quan gave it a 5/5, John Mohammad gave it 6 stars, too...Do these count?

Anyway....what a lame stupid movie...! A copy cat from Matrix...but very very lousy and confused plot...

maybe you weren't smart enough to understand it :meanie:

or maybe you're old...there's a distinct poll line between old people who didn't like it and younger people who did.

One thing that always gets me about the Matrix is that a lot of people treat it like it was some grand new idea in literature. I'll give it a thumbs up for being a new idea for films (although Dark City came out first) and for executing things very well. But, the Matrix repeats stuff that been rehashed in literature before (albeit without robots).

So, when the Matrix came out and people were absolutely gushing about how it was a completely original story with amazingly unexplored parts of literature, I was super-duper hyped up about the movie. I was pretty bloody annoyed when I found out that the originality of the Matrix revolved around the idea of defining reality. It was a pretty big copy cat of some Greek poems.

The Matrix isn't a bad movie, but it gets trumpeted for the wrong things, and people need to stop using the Matrix as a benchmark for anything other than being an awesome Sci-Fi movie.
