You mean to tell me the NAPLEX score from 1995 is no good and I have to retake the test if I want to reciprocate...or are you saying you never got licensed anywhere because lack of MPJE?

to my understanding, you would have to retake the naplex and mpje. That's why during school, people emphasized to transfer naplex score to at least one other state.

I reciprocated to TX 9 years after taking NAPLEX. I just had to take the MPJE.

since you did it after 9 years, i guess i dont have to worry about it for another couple of years...

thanks for clarifying.

I'm not aware of Naplex scores "expiring" in the state you passed the test in at all. To reciprocate, you just need to keep the license in the state you passed the Naplex up to date.

Maybe people are telling me the wrong thing. I never really looked into, just wanted to clarify the info.

I remember the clinical pharmacist (he's his late 40's) that trained me when i was an intern said that he just took the naplex and mpje to reciprocate to TN and wrote down some stuff he had on the naplex. I should probably ask him again.

depends where he came from. There is 1 state that doesn't reciprocate and another that didn't until recently.

the idea of moving to Texas is pretty much the same as the idea of going into pharmacy school, by the time word gets out and that a lot of people get around to doing it, most of the desirable positions are already gone

so you're saying that if i'm licensed in 2008, i can reciprocate 20 years later if i decided to move to another state?

I was told that there's a time frame where your naplex score expires.
You're confused...NAPLEX scores have absolutely NOTHING to do with reciprocity. If you wanted to get a new license in another state that doesn't depend on another state's license, then yeah, you need NAPLEX scores, but dont confuse the two.

If you guys would like very succinct Texas Law study guides let me know, it will make some sense of our ridiculous legal requirements

Jbuprepharm Please help me out with the study guides. The Lexis Nexis and the Fred Brinkley books are killing me. Thx

What part of Texas would be good to move into and work as a pharmacist? I am planning to move to TX soon! Hopefully near Fort Worth, Dallas, but again the main preference will be JOB opportunity,,
