My file hasn't reached the committee yet. Bummer. I was told I can call back toward the end of the week to receive the final decision.

BTW, j2001, I imagine most interviewees at this time in the process will be placed on the waitlist. They don't want to overbook their class. Good luck!

They haven't reached a decision yet. Again, bummer! Now I either have to call late (near 5:00) tomorrow or wait til early next week (3X in one week is pretty bad).

i had given up on all california schools, but the unexpected invitation arrived by email yesterday afternoon. i had resigned myself to thinking that i would be living in either philly or norfolk next year. i was 95% sure i was going to hahnemann (after being waitlisted at evms), but i was waiting to hear how your situation turned out at evms. if you are able to get some grant/scholarship money out of them, then i would certainly try to do the same thing. i liked evms a lot and would be willing to commit myself there if they could cough up some $$$ for me.
i'm still viewing ucsd as a very, very, very long shot, but at this point i have everything to gain and nothing to lose by going to the interview. i turned down my temple interview and was preparing to turn down any other interviews unless they came from a cali school. who knows...maybe lightning will strike twice and ucsd will find a reason to accept me.

Hopefully I can join you at EVMS, rio! I liked EVMS alot. If they let me in, it's all gonna come down to $$$. I hope they will offer me something to lower the tuition (IF I get in, that is).
Can't wait to call them tomorrow (yes, I'm going to do it a third time this week). I hope I don't piss them off!

I am in state here in Va. I interviewed at EVMS in Jan. I think it is an ecellent school. I am fairly sure that everyone is getting waitlisted right now...I did and all of my friends who had iviews there in the last few months did. However have no fear....the dean told us that the waitlist moves fast especially around March 15 which is when a lot ...and I mean a lot of people need to make a decision regarding their offer. If I get accepted I am going. Good luck to you all...find out where your postion on the waitlist is...I was told if you are in the top 1/3 that gives you a good shot of getting in.

Ok, a decision still hasn't been made. I'm not going to call anymore. I'd hate to encourage a negative response. I'll just wait for the decision to arrive in the mail. I really hate to wait that long because it is the last school I am waiting for. If they give me the thumbs down, I'll know where I'm going. If they give me the thumbs up, I have to wait for financial aid info. Aaaarrrghhh!!! The anxiety! I've waited this long...I can wait some more.

Argh!!! The waiting is killing me!!! I was told they should come to a decision tomorrow. I'm calling at 4:00. They said this would take 2-3 weeks. I wonder what could be holding them up. 😕

I won't be living in VA during the next four years. The committee found me to be "an unacceptable applicant". after being waitlisted at evms, i had it set in my mind that i would be going to mcp hahnemann. then the ucsd interview invite came, so now i again don't know where i'll be next year (90 miles away, or 2700 miles away). the not knowing is terrible.

I will be chillin' with lamyers at the University of South Alabama! I emailed the surgeon at EVMS that I wanted to work with, and he said he'd be happy to have me rotate through his service during my third or fourth year.
So...what kind of sub do you want, lamyers? <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" /> You must think I'm a punk-ass for getting so excited about these other schools. I'm really happy about USA! I swear!!! Mobile, here I come!

No really, if I hadn't done EDP for family reasons, I would have probably been excited about other schools too. We're excited now, but we'll probably be hating it in ...oh about a year!
