Hey yall,

this is my first time ever posting on this website but i figured this is where i would find any answer.

I have been doing decent on the EK practice sections (10's usually, an 11 here or there and sometimes a 9 here or there) in the lecture books and in the practice books..

i know i could find the answer to this if i digged deep into this forum but unfortunately i do not have much time each day to be online much...so is my performance on these practice sections/passages any indication of how i would score on the real thing? i took my first practice test before i even started studying and scored a 20! i am just a little worried, i don't plan on taking the test for at least 3-4 months.

should i expect higher scores because exam krackers says it is supposed to be harder than the real thing??

thanks.

But we should have the time to do this research for you (free of charge)? Seems kind of presumptuous of you IMO...

The answer is yes, there's a correlation (although not great). If you're scoring in the low to mid 20s on EK, you are nowhere near ready for the MCAT itself. Wait until you are consistently hitting 30-ish.

And people like you make me not want to post on these forums, you have no idea why i am busy and frankly because of your attitude most likely aren't mature to understand the ignorance you display.

Whatever, don't feed a troll with a reaction like that.

Your best bet is to take ACTUAL AAMC practice exams to gauge whether or not you are "ready" to take the MCAT.

EK is good (Biology anyway, I don't recommend EK for physics OR chemistry). In my experience I got an 11 on the BS section studying with EK, but I didn't focus too much on their practice material - I used the AAMC tests.

Sounds good thanks a lot. I took my first test before even studying at all and did poorly as expected. How long did it take you to start seeing higher scores above 30?
