Does anyone know why this is no longer in print? Was it riddled with errors or something?

Did you see the second hand price of that book!? Good lord.

I'm not sure. I think it's good, but they're probably just getting ready to release a new version.

New version. They did this with verbal last year...not much of a change. I think they are changing their lineup.

thanks, both of you. i called an examkrackers operator and she said a new version may come out in a year or so...

It seems REALLY mean to take a book out of print for an entire year before a new edition is released....I'm glad I bought mine already.

I was actually trying to call all my local Barnes and Noble stores to try to pick up all the copies before they were gone and corner the market. Ha ha.

But they are closed today due to a snow storm. 😡

Oh I know it wasn't, only a fool would sell that for 25 dollars at this point. It might even go for 75. Amazon.ca some clown has it for 400, amazon.com at 90.

Damn!!! That's crazy!

But that sad thing is that people will pay it. Supply and Demand. Low supply = High demand!

I might even sell my copy for that kind of profit.

High demand = no supply = black market + price gouging
Now I know what to set the price too lol
Economics would dictate the person who values it most will pay the most (of course it never takes into account how rich or poor you are lol). I wouldn't pay 100 for it =/ but no price is too high for a high MCAT score right? You've just experienced a 60 dollar loss, I guess you'll have to put off drinking for the next 2 weeks (if you drink, I don't, which is why I probably miscalculated the cost of alcohol)

Hey guys. Is it just me or is this book ridiculously hard? I finished the first chapter of the EK biology book and set out to do the 1st chapter of the 1001 bio questions book. I found the questions really hard and not really dealing with the passages very much... Should I finish the EK biology book before starting the 1001 questions?!? Baffled...
Btw, I somehow ended up with 2 copies of the 1001 Q book. Maybe I will sell one on amazon. LOL

I find it ok. The questions in the book are more brutal (review book). LOL finish the EK book first! How are you going to do a bio test without fresh bio knowledge in your head?

I guess what I want to ask is... Should I do Chapter 1 of Ek Bio book, then do Chapter 1 of 1001 questions? It doesn't seem like it was made to be done that way from the questions I just tried...

Yeah, review the chapter then test yourself on it. Sorry if it sounded like I suggested doing the entire review book, I tend to make a lot of errors this late at night (4 am) - just finished my EK physics on waves =/...I better sleep...Good luck on those questions.

A couple of the passages are pretty frustrating because they ask for things that aren't covered in their content review yet, but it's not too bad.

Thanks for letting me know. 👍 I thought the 30 minute exam wasn't bad at all, but the first 52 questions on lecture 1 in 1001 Qs seemed really hard.... Was making me freaked out. :scared:
I'll just keep going and see how it goes. :xf:

i dont have the the bio 1001 but i have all the other ones and I love taking a break from MCAT passage type problems and do these stand alones from the 1001 series. they actually solidify ALOT of things. I do great on PS (around 12-14) and I find myself getting about every 3 questions wrong on the 1001 series. But they are greattttttttttt questions I think because although some are irrelevant to the MCAT a majority of them are useful and have prevented me from choosing the wrong answers on my practice exams. I am trying to do 200 problems a day from these (spread out between physics and chem)

I want the bio one but i ordered it on amazon for $120 and the guy emailed me today and said something about it getting rained on or whatever ... idk its too late to get another one since i got about 3 and a half weeks till test day. I highly recommend this series.

Wow... 120 dollars... you are crazy! I bet you can buy one on ebay for cheaper... If you want I can send mine 1 day fed ex for you for 100. or if you live in southern california, you can have pick it up for 60 hahaha (I have 2 books >_> don't ask why...)

Goddamn 120? That's quadruple the regular price! Desperate times.

Yeah don't worry about the passages, we feel ya. They've got random **** in there in some places, sometimes they have very questionable answers. But if you can think and analyze why your answers are wrong (or why they are) then you should be good. The important this is that you practice with it. The book is pretty hard for the first two units (mainly because their review of it sucks!) but it gets better. Take notes wherever it says there is a high yield question. BTW how did you end up with 2?

Ha ha. Nice way to angle the sale there.

I think the book is worth it. I think most people end up frustrated with some of the questions, but there are so many other good ones that it more than makes up for the bad ones.

Oh, also you can check out the EK forum if you really think one of their questions is out of whack and they might have something posted about it to give you some insight as to what you were doing wrong or what they did wrong.
