So I have just recently switched to pre-OT. I have set up clinical experience with a rehab clinic for summer, and was looking for something to do in fall. One of my professors (not related to OT) suggested that I do research at an autistic center in the area. This center has no OTs, only Behavior Analysts. I have worked with several autistic kids in the past, and absolutely love working with kids. I am wondering if this would be considered good experience for grad school, or if I should look into volunteering in a rehab center. Although I would really enjoy research with the center, I want to do something that will help me get into OT programs.
Also, on a side note, how many hours of clinical experience looks good for OT programs?
