Hi everyone,

I will be graduating this semester possibly, and interviewed at some dental schools post december. I was wondering is if I failed a course that I need for graduation, then would dental school take away their acceptance?

Or do dental schools give you another chance by taking that class in the spring semester before entering their class? The class is not a prerequisite and it is Ecology.

I am in a sticky situation, and dunno if I will fail or pass the course. Will need everyone's advices and opinions.

I don't know. Dental schools tend to say that you have to have a B- or higher in your science courses to keep your acceptance. This is one dental school I know that does this. You might want to call up the dental schools. The best thing to do right now is to work hard to pass that class. If you do fail, I would take the class again. Some dental schools do a thing where they replace your failed grade with the new grade. So the failed grade is not even calculated in the GPA. But, this is only some dental schools. Sorry but this is the only advice I have. Good luck though!

Which school? I was told I simply had to pass my courses. Now, I have never received a C in college, and have no intentions of doing so now that I'm accepted, however, inquiring minds would like to know.

i think UCSF

You cannot fail or withdraw. HOWEVER, you can take the class again in the spring. What is important is that you notify the school. You must complete all requirements in the spring or you may lose your spot.

Do you mean that you can fail the class and take it again on the spring semester. This time do really well?

I believe that you can fail the class, get a B the second semester, and still be okay.
