Hello everyone,

So I may be failing a Genetics course which is an upper division biology course at my current institution. Both lab and lecture are integrated and failure in one will result in failure of the entire course. The lab portion is what has been taking a toll on me. Overall I have been doing well in all my sciences and genEds. Should I retake the course or just move on with another upper division and excel? How do medical schools view this? Also if I do retake the Genetics course, will schools look at both grades?

Retake it. I couldn't agree more with the above post. Failing an upper division biology course would be a huge red flag to adcoms with regards to succeeding in medical school.
