i would think they put high emphasis on the prereqs.
don't worry. many poeple like yourself save the hard classes for last so it doesn't go on the gpa when they apply.
most of my freinds saved physics until after they apply.
Physics is horrible at my University. Averages for all 3 exams for my semester taking algebra based physics 2 was around a 35/100. At that point whats the point in even teaching the class. It doesnt make sense to make classes riculously hard and have everyone fail, only to reward it by curving.
my university is the same way. I guess you can look at it as they are trying to weed out the best students from the rest.
but i agree with you. It would be nice to look at my grades and know that I actually earned them instead of thanking the curve for saving my ass from failing😱
Doesn't seem like anyone like physics? I thought physics was fun
We have only two physics instructors at my school. One is an arrogant narcissist and the other has a really strong accent, so it's a matter of picking the lesser of two evils. I took non-Calc based Physics one semester and dropped it after three weeks of the guy insulting everybody, including me.
So yeah, I'm like above: taking physics in the Spring. 🙂
Definitely a +100 on hating physics. I love conceptual physics and was in honors physics in high school. When I got to college I was thinking to myself, "Physics... no biggie." Boy was I wrong. Averages were 40% or so and I barely managed to get C's to pass all the way through the last year of pre-pharm. Those C's (4 credit hour/14 credit hour schedule) really dropped my GPA.
Some schools may wait for your fall quarter grades and then make their decisions. For me, I simply had to ride the rest of the year out making C's in order to maintain my acceptance.
