Hey guys, my exam's coming up in 10 days and I have the feeling that I have forgotten 70% of the stuff that I've learned during my study time... And I'll never be able to review all the stuff again in 10 days because it's simply too much. Plus I'm afraid to take the UWSA because if it I get a low score there then my confidence for the exam will be gone. Everyone had the same experience before the exam? how did it turn out? Thanks for your help

Yo, don't stress. Study hard for the next 10 days and take this exam. I'm gona be taking it around the same time (march 8th) and i think i'm feeling a bit burnt out but I am sure our hard work will pay off.

I'm gona be reviewing FA+UW for the next week or so. Good luck!

Honestly, I would do the following.

1) take an entire day off to re group because there is no point is studying for next 10 days being stressed. Time off will enable you to regroup, re focus and prioritize the material that needs to be reviewed more than other.

2) I would review my weakest area first. Why? Because it will give me enough time to "master" my weakness. There is no point is keep reviewing your strength due to limited amount of time. After that I would tackle the next weakness and so on. Perhaps a day before the exam, I would re review/skim my weakness which was mastered on day 1 or so.

Try to review as much as possible to have the material as fresh as it possibly can be in the shortest amount of time and do not stress because stress HINDERS learning.

You know more than you think, trust me. I had the same feeling too when my exam was approaching. If you have taken practice nbmes and you are pleased with those scores, then take comfort in that. That's what I was doing during the last week and that helped me calm down and focus on my last read through FA. I'm the type of person that can't recall facts on demand, but with a question stem and the options available to me I'll be able to arrive at a good answer. I say that because when you read the question and the options it will jog your memory and you too will be able to arrive at the correct answer.

Keep your chin up, rashy. I was feeling the same today- like I have forgotten stuff I thought I had learnt well. My exam's much later than yours but I understand what you're saying. You've been putting in the hard work. It's all in there somewhere. Like the above post suggests, try not to to get stressed out and review your weak areas. Take deep breaths and keep yourself calm and stay positive. Good luck, mate. You'll do well.

Like they said, you've put in the hours, so have confidence in yourself. Take a step back, regroup, take the practice test and keep attacking it for another week. If you're still not feeling confident you can push it back a week. The information is there. You're doing great.

Thanks for your advice guys! I think I'm successfully blocking out the stress. I'll be finished with Uworld soon and then I have 7 days to revise as much I can, because it would be such a pity if I couldn't answer the questions just because I can't remember a few simple details...
@Valadi: no I can't push it back 1 week because I have to keep a deadline. I'm applying for a clinic in the US and I need my Step 1 score for that. If I could push it back I would. 2 more weeks and all my stress would be gone now 😉

Fair enough. Good luck! You've prepared a lot. I'm sure you'll do well 🙂

I agree with the poster who said to study your weak points as the test gets closer. This really is the best way to increase your score as time is winding down. For example, I knew I was weak on Pharm, so the last two days before my exam I really studied the Pharm in FA hard and maybe even short-term-memoried some facts for the exam. I know it paid off during test day.

Haha I love when that "one last thing I want to check" right before you walk into the test center ends up being on there. Totally happened to me too.

Do you know why?

Its because test writers HATE US!!!!!

But on a serious note...i think its because there is a reason why you don't remember that piece of information. Probably because it was confusing to begin with and thats where test write feast on.
