What are your thoughts on this? Have you been filling this out for things like research projects and volunteer jobs? Does it look bad to leave them all blank?

I had all of mine filled out, but it looked really busy to me. My reasons were all "left for 3rd year rotations" and similar pointless comments, so I deleted them all. I'm not sure if that was a good or bad idea...or if it mattered at all. Too late now! 🙂
I left out reasons for leaving. Didn't seem really relevant to the application. Pehaps if any of them were jobs for extended periods it would be different. Filled in time per week only on experiences with significant length.

I left most things blank, since they were either summer research, volunteer stuff or "leader of club xyz in med school" and everyone knows how that stuff goes. Nobody is going to ask you in an interview "so why did you stop volunteering at the homeless shelter?"... "uh, because I started this other volunteer thingy"... The only thing I filled in was saying how I left my pre-med-school job position to I could go to med school. If something negative happened that you think looks odd, I would use that spot to explain (ie: left because of death in family).

I left most of mine blank as well. I figure if they really care they can ask me in an interview. I have a hard time believing they'll even pay attention to most of that stuff.
Sorry to bump this old thread, but just wanted to see what others are doing for this part of the application. Hours/week for some experiences are so variable!? Also some activities are once monthly for x hours. How do you address that?
