Hi everyone,
I'm currently an undergraduate student, and my institution lists me as financially independent. I don't live with either of my parents because of their abuse, and they refuse to give me their financial information, so my school doesn't require me to provide it. However, I know most medical schools require parental information if you request need-based aid. Since there is no chance of me getting that information, will I only be able to take out loans? Or would any medical schools provide an exemption based on the circumstances, as my undergraduate institution did? Thanks in advance for your advice.

They will exempt the parental information once you explain your situation, it would be unethical if they didn't so you can count on it.
