I took the DAT this morning, and I will say I did better than I expected.

I have a 3.48 GPA / 3.32 sciGPA and knew that I needed to score well to outweigh the numerous B's I have made which have brought my GPA down.

Should my score in quantitative reasoning have a significant effect on my chances?

TIA

Tell us what materials you used.

Congrats .. your stats are very similar to mine. GL!

Bio: Kaplan BB first for a good overview, followed by a few reads through Cliffs AP. Destroyer was helpful, though I did not make it entirely through the biology section.

General Chemistry: Took chemistry my freshman year, so this section required the most diligent studying and Im glad I did, because as you can see my score in this section was decent but certainly not stellar. Again, I used Kaplan BB for a good overview. I used destroyer for this section and again as others have said it was a little overkill and it would be wise to be more familiar with conceptual type questions as well. If I had to do it again, I would probably get more use out of my college textbook.

Organic Chemistry: Destroyer was definitely helpful for this section, as long as you study it correctly. My first read through Kaplan BB for this section, I felt as if it was a little scattered. The more comfortable I became with the material though the more I realized it really was a good resource.

PAT: I used Crack DAT. Pretty similar to that.

RC: I got the ethic passage. Fortunately it was the first passage, so I was able to devote a little extra time to it (still didn't do great though). My only preparation for this was TopScore. The passages I received were similar in type to those on TopScore, just longer and with less straightforward questions. I would highly suggest on these practice tests to actually practice reading the entire passage and jotting down a few notes.

QR: I put this off and didn't hit it hard really until last week. Mostly because I realized how unprepared I was. This was my lowest score, but to tell you the truth I should probably be thankful for what I got, given the results I was receiving with some of my diagnostics. The internet proved to be a pretty good source for this section for me. I searched around for as many problems sites as I could find. Im certain their are better ways to approach this section though.

The above may or may not be helpful, but if you have any other questions let me know.
