Finishing Course, Submitted App, and then Academic Update?

I'm in a dilemma. I submitted by AACOMAS app to be professionally typed and then verified, while listing organic chem 1 as "in progress". I'm hoping to complete this course by the end of the week, and then submit the transcript. Apparently, the next academic update is in December so how late would I be? I'm going to apply this cycle.

You should apply early and broadly next year spring. Even with stellar stats, applying this late would limit your options and you run the risk of being a reapplicant.

I called up a lot of schools, and they told me to submit. They stated I just need a C prior to matriculation.
