first time for Part 1

Hi,

will anyone out there help out.
attempting to give the part 1 for the first time
i heard now part 1 is computer based and can appear any time
please someone explain if there is any set date for this and most of all GIVE A HELPING HAND WITH THE MATERIALS NEEDED AND HOW TO GO ABOUT WITH THIS..

Yes , part 1 is now available in CB version , you may call the ADA get their approval and fill an application and then call your nearest pometric center for availability of dates .
Basic study material:
1) Dental decks : Latest edition
2) Released question papers from the ADA ( Can be ordered by calling the ADA )
oTHER INFO on ADA.org
Book a date , start reading and take the test

what do you wanna know?????
As far as i can figure out you want to get into an advanced standing program , othwr stats are fine , apply to as many schools as possible , on the east coast schools mostly prefer higher Part 1 ( but nothing is an absolute) the whole package counts............
I would say , don't wait apply , if you want and feel adequately prepared take aprt 2 , that might open the doors for a few more schools ..........( but remember the schools that donnot ask for part 2 donnot give extra weight to your application if you have already taken it ) One is always better off improving part 1 for such schools

As i see it your best shot might be NYU on the east coast ( as the TOEFL requirement for BU is 250 ) , Penn admission criterion is very ....... unpredictable , unless ofcourse you wanna try the west coast where a lot depends upon the skill test and different interviews

hi magi ,r u arround dearborn michigan..am preparing too for ndb part one.
u can call ada and place a date whatever u want to pass ndb part one..better before 2 month.
