Hi, I can speak about FlexMed since I interviewed (still waiting on final response.) If you check the typical boxes (shadowing, research, volunteer, etc.), then it probably is a waste of money applying to FlexMed. I am sure you can do some more in depth research but basically if you don't have one aspect about your application that makes you unique and that you can devote two years to, it won't work out. For example, two months into freshman year I became a social justice intern at a non-profit law firm helping undocumented immigrants, so social justice is my "flexfactor." If you think you have a good flex factor though, I would definitely say worth a shot! Also, this is just based off the research I did while applying and based off talking to the other FlexMed interviewees, so don't take this as bible or anything 🙂
