Has any one applied to 4 year DMD at university of florida?? How competitive is the program , should one apply to the program? If any 1 has any idea plz let me know about the program.

They have only 2 seats... I guess there is a lot of competition, but the only way to know for sure is trying. Still, 4 years is a loooong time....

In addition to what alto mentioned about having only 2 seats , Florida residents have priority to this program , I think its a long shot .
If I recall correctly deadline is Nov 1st . good luck

It is true, some schools are concerned about place of residence, which is good and bad. Good for FTD in that state and I think somewhat for the economy. UIC and FL are like that. On other hand Umich is more concerned about getting students from other states, hence they can claim that all the states' student want them (this is just my precreption, NOT the opinion of the univ). I think that stats should not be the ONLY thing any school should look at, but that is the way it is, if you have 90+ part I, GPA >3.5 (ECE) and TOEFL 100+, You are guranteed interviews from MOST schools and admission into multiple schools. ONE stat for FTD i dont think schools should consider it highly is the GPA (but NYU, Upenn, UMN, and UT do look at it). I know for a FACT that students that attend private school in my country (via payment seats) get high marks during dental school and hence high GPA, but their practical skills MAY be subpar and patient exposure is minimum. Some of the private school students have told me that their school wants to have a good name so they will give high marks to attract students from abroad. While Government schools (admissions is based on merit ONLY, NO payment seats) give low marks (b/c they are more strict), hence the GPA will be low, but their education level, practical skills and patient exposure may be greater, which I think is more importnant. Note/disclaimer: This is my opinion and it is not ment to be a reflection of any international or US dental school.

just recieved a letter from NOVA saying that the application can now be completed online. i have already send them my application by mail with all the documents attached. Can some one guide me where to look for the on line application.
