FM to IM switch?

I'm an american grad PGY 3 FM resident looking to switch to PGY 2 IM, or just IM in general. Any input to such a switch.

Want more comprehensive inpatient knowledge for career in hospitalist or critical care arenas. Not a fan of clinic, hence the switch.
