For pre-meds: residency matching after medical school?!

Match lists are where you can see medical students' residency matches from previous classes. They may offer you insight on what you might want to specialize in, and/or the competitiveness of a field. (less matches generally mean greater competition)

A few examples:
St. Louis University School of Medicine 2016

Brown University Alpert Medical School 2016

Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine 2016 (where I'm likely going to go!)

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine

Side note*

Do NOT judge the quality of a medical school based on their match lists. They can vary greatly from year to year and are not a reliable way to determine which med schools are "better" than others.

I feel like there are general trends in terms of which academic affiliations the residencies have. The number going into each field each year is very unreliable, but seeing a ton of Ivies vs. community programs probably means something
