He says this tongue-in-cheek, as we've never had a face-to-face interaction.![]()
and you and I have only had one, which is about .5 too many.

um, we've never spoken. Unless you're talking about the magazine incident, or the cyclops incident (which has been remedied, btw).and you and I have only had one, which is about .5 too many.

I will point out that I think Dr. Zorba is the best, and he actually was the donor of my white coat.
I talk to Ashers every time I see her.We M2s are more than happy to meet each other face to face, unlike the semi-stalkerish M1s that frequent the board. In fact, you'll often find the M2s chatting via non-SDN means while studying, and often the conversations might even be described as "normal."
hmmmmm. There is a big blank space in my memory when I was at the org fair....oh...yes we have. yes we have. you forget the Org fair when YOU CAME TO ME. and I do think it is about time for another...incident.

Hey DoctorFunk... I was checking out your blog. What kind of dogs does MCW use? I had no idea med schools still used them...![]()
most of them were hunting dogs...hounds of some type, I believe. I'm pretty sure the source are from places that breed hunting dogs but find these particles ones to be "inadequate." which sucks.
😍How am I so lucky?
Right. They don't go out to the humane society, find a pet and then use it for us. They go get dogs that are going to be put down anyway.
They make sure to explain all of this beforehand, and it's optional, though most people participate.
So i had my interview today...i felt like it was okay, kind of have a bad feeling. I had two faculty interviewers one was a Ph.D/MD the other was a Ph.D. The phd/md seemed to be asking questions from a sheet of paper and didn't really comment on my answers at all just kept on writing, I was kind of freaking out about that, and I don't think i satisfactorily answered what to do if someone stole my friends ipod question. The Ph.D interviewer was nice in the beginning kind of laid back. there was one answer to the question "why i want to be a doctor" that i dont think he liked we almost had a small debate about it. But at the end he was nice and said that if i had any more questions or nething throughout the process I should email him.
i hope i get in...it is my first choice i was actually on the wlist last year--it seemed that the interviewers knew i was determined to get it in...but i hope that those one or two questions didn't screw me over. these next 10 days are going to be the longest😱
what iPod question?
Bleh. that ipod question was killer!
did you feel like you accurately answered it, i don't know for me i had to backtrack and correct myself
i can't wait till 10 days from now!!!...i seriously need to know !! ahhhhhh im going crazy..
hoping for the best, expecting the worst
You did look pretty excited. 😀Good luck guys...for anyone that was on my 3pm tour this Friday, I apologize for being so motor-mouthed...I had a lot of caffeine and I was listening to lecture recordings at 1.7x speed. So the whole world seemed a little bit slower than myself.
by the way, i never got any ethical questions at my interviews...we just talked about Stonehenge.

They accept something like 270-300 people outright, and the rest of them come from the waitlist. Where did you go to undergrad? This is completely unrelated to anything...but I'm just trying to understand how the acceptances work. So, they have 204 seats in the class, but looking at the stats and this interview sheet I got during a mock interview at MCW years ago, they say that 400 of the 600 total people get accepted. So, if the seats fill in January, where do the additional 200 acceptances come from-the waitlist? Just trying to understand how schools do things!
Prowler-I went to madison and I work at MCW now as a tech
I just walked past heme/onc about 10 minutes ago on the way back from the CHW cafeteria.....
I took a block test on heme/onc last week...
I work at the MACC Fund Research Center...that glass door between MCW and the Childrens' Hospital. We had a M1 in our lab this past summer, and I think she enjoyed it for the most part. I like the work atmosphere in the labs...really laid back...great boss and coworkers...but I'm not much of a research buff so I can't say I'm not excited to go to school next fall! But if you thing you could love research, you should go for it. Just make sure you get a good PI (someone kind) and not someone who is overbearing!
I think I know her! She's really nice! I see her everyday when I go into the office to get my PI's mail...I eat at the deli too...so overpriced, but at least there's a discount! Are you a student here...what year?
Yeah the food was okay but expensive for what you get. I am not a student there, but I have an interview in December.....So hopefully I will be next year! Congrats on your acceptance there!
Children's doesn't (unless you have a children's ID tag),
And Linda yells at people for taking 6 cents out of the take a penny, leave a penny cup (no, it wasn't me). She's mean. 😡Compared to MCW cafeteria -- no discount ever and always overpriced, all the other cafeterias are amazing, especially Children's Sky Walk. =)
It is nice to read about where to get lunch when at MCW....Hopefullly ill join you guys at childrens hospital for lunch next year
well right now, all i can think about is tomorrow cuz
it's that DAY where a group of people in milwaukee(actually wauwatosa) will be deciding my fate !!
Has ne one in the past tried calling the wonderful Mr. Istwan about whether or not they were accepted???
