yeah there might be few, when you try to save it, it gives you an option to read over, so proof read and manually correct them

After you save it, can you edit if you see that you still missed an error that needs correcting, or do you have to start over with another personal statement?

Is there going to be formatting errors when I copy and paste my personal statement from word?

Maybe. Save it as a plain text document first. Get rid of your Comic Sans font and other silly crap. Adjust it to make it look decent as plain text and then copy/paste from there.

Even better, paste it into NotePad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac) and edit it there to make it look good. Then copy/paste into ERAS.

Thankfully, you can edit your PS on ERAS up until you submit it with your application. I saved mine then read it again and realized my apostrophes did not transfer so I had to go in and fix them. Everything else transferred over from msword without a problem.

Is there a limitation to words? How about text font and margins?
