when converting from 165Ho to 157 Gd, at least two alpha particles were emitted. What else was emitted?

a)a third alpha particle
b)1 neutron
c) 1 beta particle
d) 1 positron

I automatically marked out A and B because they are wrong. However, C and D are the same thing aren't they? Because beta particle= beta decay? and positron emission = beta decay?

darn "un"clear jargon. please help
 
Nono, a beta particle is an electron, a positron is POSTIVETLY charged, but same MASS as an electron =]
