So during the first two semesters of my freshman year, I had to take two FS classes (stands for Freshman/Sophomore Seminar). I go to a liberal arts college, and they stress reading, writing, speaking, and discussion in these FS classes. The second one I took was even with an English professor and was labeled a "W for Writing Intensive" class. These classes were basically glorified English classes with a weird name. Anyways, I also took Reading Lit my first semester.
My pre-health advisor says that these two classes count as one English class (when combined). Thus, with my other English class, I will have fulfilled the English requirement for d-school. Somehow, I'm not convinced... Do any of you have FS classes like this at your school? I know other schools have them, but our FS classes are taken pretty seriously and counted as 4 credits.
As a "back-up", I'm doing a 4-credit English internship that has a class that meets once a week and involves several hours of reading/writing tutoring for local adults. Do you think this will be good for a "just in case" English class???
You deserve a gold star if you read to the end of this! lol 😀 Thanks for any advice!!
