Say you have 3 letters and you're hoping to get a fourth one from your Sept rotation...i.e. hoping the program waits for your 4th letter...How do you let programs know? I think it would presumptuous for me to designate a spot for a letter that doesn't exist yet, but how can you let them know NOW that you anticipate another before trashing your app?
Is it better just to leave out the LOR that you think might be the weakest from the original batch of three? to get them to wait on the other one? but then your app will be incomplete til oct...

I was told by my school to designate all the letters that are incoming (even if not received yet) & to go ahead and assign those to the schools (if we're sure they are coming in). So for programs that require 3 letters, but I only have 2 in, I clicked all 3 even tho the 3rd one hasn't been received/scanned yet. Not sure if this is right or not. I also tend to think that one LOR won't make or break your app. Good luck!

One letter is unlikely to make or break your app. If you really think it will, then you need to wait to apply until the letter is in. No matter what you do on your end -- designate a slot, etc, I will not see the letter or have any clue that it is coming until it actually comes. This is a benefit if you assign a letter to me that never gets written -- I never knew that you were missing something.
