Maybe we should run 2 games, same theme, same mods, different players, at the same time. With different rules. Just to mess people up. That would be hilarious.

Kidding, I will do that now since so many people are apparently ready to sign up, with tentative start day of somewhere between Sunday and Tuesday ish depending on when Game of Throne finally ends. Also, disclaimer, I work full time so this game will move slow, often with the flow of my work schedule. Kaydubs and I had been planning on co-modding, I PMed her yesterday and told her I had pretty much worked out the final details and that the game would be starting soon, I haven't heard back yet but people have lives outside of SDN (except for me during WW games!) so that's ok, I can start by myself. However, if kaydubs cannot/doesn't want to co-mod anymore I will definitely take volunteers to help move things along when I am working and such.
So, from now, on, please see the official HP game thread sign up! I will just sort you into houses randomly in the order but feel free to re-arrange as you see fit! 🙂

Not sure what the list is looking like but I would like to host a game in late July or early August. My wife will be away during the week, for a few weeks, and I will be bored.
I will enforce short deadlines, but it will be a normal game. I already have an idea for a structure which will be much different than typical. Haven't decided on the theme yet.
It will only be for people who can be active a lot, so I will probably limit the number of players.
Please put me on any list as appropriate.

Thanks!! I am excited to be going especially since there was a good period of time where I was probably not going to be able to go. Now I can't wait! Once school actually starts, that excitement will probably go away.

I just thought I would offer, and honestly I would love to see what you have going on from a behind the scenes POV.
I am super excited that you are coming over here too, although I may be biased. 🙄 I think by AB2, that excitement starts to wane. Wish I was still going to be here when you arrive. So as I continue to come up with roles for my next WW game, I begin to realize how absolutely insane I am. This is going to be much more intense than I had orginally thought, but it is going to confuse the crap out of people which makes me. 😀

I have 1/4 of the roles written up for this WW game. It has taken me two days to get to this point. It took me 3 hours to write up all of the roles/items for clue and about an hour to make last minute changes on things.

Sounds like people would like end of July better. I should know by the end of next week if I have to do my EMS for school that week. If not though, I can be a day or night person. (Not sure if you are a Sunny in Philly fan, but just made me think of "Day Man"). I'll be off then and will be around in the day and night.

That will give you a general idea...basically, in the group of players, there is a group of secret wolves. The villagers have to try to figure out who the wolves are and vote to kill them during the "day" cycles, and the wolves get to kill a villager during the "night cycles". Whichever side has more players at the end of the game, wins. Our games have all become super complicated with roles and items that can investigate players to see if they are wolves and injure people and stuff like that, but that is the basic premise of the game!
Honestly we learn best by doing. I didn't understand until I actually played..

I will need a co-mod for sure. I can't even think about starting the planning till June 15th but that gives us time still.
I have a list of games I'm interested in working on at some point. 😳 But I'm presuming they'll reach into the fall. Looking at Golden Compass, Redwall, Dragonriders of Pern (IPB might co-mod that?), and might do an original one based on legends/mythical creatures (have some interesting ideas for that - more complex than the others).
I think WW will slow down a bit in the fall, but I don't think it'll disappear forever. So if anyone is interested in co-modding any of these, let me know. This list might modify itself eventually based on interest.

Yay! Sounds great! And no problem about waiting a few weeks. June is a crazy month for me at work (fiscal year end 🙁).
