Maybe we should run 2 games, same theme, same mods, different players, at the same time. With different rules. Just to mess people up. That would be hilarious.
 
You guys should have just sorted yourselves into houses and made an official sign up! :laugh: Kidding, I will do that now since so many people are apparently ready to sign up, with tentative start day of somewhere between Sunday and Tuesday ish depending on when Game of Throne finally ends. Also, disclaimer, I work full time so this game will move slow, often with the flow of my work schedule. Kaydubs and I had been planning on co-modding, I PMed her yesterday and told her I had pretty much worked out the final details and that the game would be starting soon, I haven't heard back yet but people have lives outside of SDN (except for me during WW games!) so that's ok, I can start by myself. However, if kaydubs cannot/doesn't want to co-mod anymore I will definitely take volunteers to help move things along when I am working and such.

So, from now, on, please see the official HP game thread sign up! I will just sort you into houses randomly in the order but feel free to re-arrange as you see fit! 🙂

LIS/SOV, I guess I'm ok with you two doubling up, I don't see any reason not to allow it, it should make things interesting! Especially for LIS who will have to catch up!
 
And I would rather have one big game than 2 games, this is going to be enough work as it is!!

I will start sending you my thoughts on my game in the next day or so. I am just really busy with work but I will start getting things more organized and send you my general idea.

Not sure what the list is looking like but I would like to host a game in late July or early August. My wife will be away during the week, for a few weeks, and I will be bored.

I will enforce short deadlines, but it will be a normal game. I already have an idea for a structure which will be much different than typical. Haven't decided on the theme yet.

It will only be for people who can be active a lot, so I will probably limit the number of players.

Please put me on any list as appropriate.

I will be seeking a co-mod, as my games usually end up being awfully complicated. If you are interested let me know. I still need to work out the dynamics of it! Co-mod will be able to be involved in game design. I am open to suggestions as it is still a bit nascent right now.

Unfortunately, I will be moving to/getting settled in scotland at that time so I can't play or comod then. You will have to play my game at the end of june though. It is going to be awesome!!

Let me know. It worked well with a UKer sending out PMs etc early in the morning (us time) while people are sleeping. If you are really interested I can start in early august ish.

I will actually be on EST then. I might be doing some EMS (don't ask, a UK thing) that last week, but it's not definite. If the last week in July is better for you don't worry on my account! I just thought I would offer, and honestly I would love to see what you have going on from a behind the scenes POV.

I am super excited that you are coming over here too, although I may be biased. 🙄 I think by AB2, that excitement starts to wane. Wish I was still going to be here when you arrive. If you want, I can get you the contact info for my roomies (both actually SDN members, but not really so active any more). They will be here all summer if you need anything.

So as I continue to come up with roles for my next WW game, I begin to realize how absolutely insane I am. This is going to be much more intense than I had orginally thought, but it is going to confuse the crap out of people which makes me. 😀
 
Okay, the list hasn't been posted in a while so I thought I'd dredge it up again and update it. 🙂

0. Harry Potter: currently running. 😉
1. Tortall: nohika/IPB
2. Fantasy-type: DVMDream, start June 26
3. Avengers: Lissarae/LIS
4. Sherlock: IPB/cuit
5. Undecided Theme: SOV, late July/early August
 
I have 1/4 of the roles written up for this WW game. It has taken me two days to get to this point. It took me 3 hours to write up all of the roles/items for clue and about an hour to make last minute changes on things.

I really hope this game turns out ok. :xf:

Sounds like people would like end of July better. I should know by the end of next week if I have to do my EMS for school that week. If not though, I can be a day or night person. (Not sure if you are a Sunny in Philly fan, but just made me think of "Day Man"). I'll be off then and will be around in the day and night.
 
So I think it's time I jump into modding or at least co-modding. I want to dish out some of the fun. 😛 So...co-mod for hire! Anybody need help or willing to let me shadow them?

Eventually, I'd love to do the Southern Vampire Series (Sookie Stackhouse) WW game.

FTB, you mentioned that first in this thread....are you interested in co-modding that game with me? I figure we'd be in the late summer/early fall, which works out perfectly for me with work and school. Just let me know...I've already got some roles/items swimming around in my head.

It's really fun!!

That will give you a general idea...basically, in the group of players, there is a group of secret wolves. The villagers have to try to figure out who the wolves are and vote to kill them during the "day" cycles, and the wolves get to kill a villager during the "night cycles". Whichever side has more players at the end of the game, wins. Our games have all become super complicated with roles and items that can investigate players to see if they are wolves and injure people and stuff like that, but that is the basic premise of the game!

I will need a co-mod for sure. I can't even think about starting the planning till June 15th but that gives us time still.
 
I have a list of games I'm interested in working on at some point. 😳 But I'm presuming they'll reach into the fall. Looking at Golden Compass, Redwall, Dragonriders of Pern (IPB might co-mod that?), and might do an original one based on legends/mythical creatures (have some interesting ideas for that - more complex than the others).

I think WW will slow down a bit in the fall, but I don't think it'll disappear forever. :laugh: So if anyone is interested in co-modding any of these, let me know. This list might modify itself eventually based on interest.
 
So sad I probably won't be able to play the Tortall one. I'll be out of town starting June 8 and on a cruise for most of it.

Yay! Sounds great! And no problem about waiting a few weeks. June is a crazy month for me at work (fiscal year end 🙁).

Can we add ourselves to the future list? We're going to need a really cool mod name. 😛
