CHILI HAS BEANS IN IT. There are two types of chili. Chili con carne and chili con carne y frijoles. Chili con carne is the stuff you put on hotdogs and Fritos chili pies. It doesn't have beans in it. But real Cowboy style chili (one of the first types of chili) has BEANS in it!

Completely off-topic (or back on topic, as the case may be): If you want to run it, go right ahead. It really will be a while before I can mod again. I just wanted to put the idea out there to claim it if nobody wanted it or to hint someone towards running it.

Dur. Brain not functioning.

It <was> slow last night. Slowest night in .... forever. I saw exactly one case, and it was a DOA foster puppy. Went home with the foster, attacked and killed by the foster's dog. Super sad. And that was it for the night.

So bizarre to go from the previous three shifts of running around crazy doing a marginal job because there just wasn't time to do a good job to "ohhhhhkayyyy.... if someone wants to come in, I'd love to see a case or three!"

Sad. Liking for the "I'd love to see a case comment".... yeah, Sunday was booked up with a bunch of consults but no one had a lot of money so it was mostly, "here are some meds and good luck". So while the schedule was full, I did a lot of twiddling my thumbs.

I could pull it off faster. I even have one of those fancy "Guide to Discworld" books around here somewhere... but hubby and I made a deal where he reads the first 3 of "The Dark Tower" series and I had to pick a series to read through before him.

But seriously, isn't there a line? How far out are we if we hop on now?

I mean we don't even have to put ourselves in a queue until we're ready. I've never even modded a game before so I think it would be wise to do some baby modding first before putting a game together. I don't think anybody is going to fight us if we just toss something on the back of the "potentially in the future" docket and cook stuff up for a while. 🙂

You both know more about the series than me . I'm most familiar with Moist von Lipwig and Tiffany Aching, as well as parts of the Death and UU storylines. I'd read scattered books in other series (I think Small Gods had the most impact out of those).

The Moist books are some of my favorites and I love the Death storylines! Honestly the Discworld universe is so broad that it almost makes more sense to me to limit games to only a certain book to make it easier on mods and players.

I think an initial game based on the original two books (The Colour of Magic & The Light Fantastic) would probably be the easiest on players, although I think a Going Postal game based on Moist would be fun as hell.
