I thought everyone ultimately gets a letter in the mail regardless of whether you were emailed or called....
What are you bumping
ha; the thread was on page 5, so I bumped it to the front page in case anyone else had been accepted off the waitlist. what are you up to?
Just trying to cram for my last 2 finals, not that I care too much about them. Then start packing up my stuff to head off to Maine for the summer.
What are you doing in Maine? Family there or something?
I just watched the premiere of House... I watched the 1st season way-back-when and I haven't had a TV since, but I'm living at home from now until august. And I didn't think the episode was very good, but nothing else on a Monday night.
Nah, I do a bunch of research at a lab up there. And what is this you didn't like House?! I am appalled, haha.
You seem pretty normal, so that's 1/180 of our class I don't have to worry about; but if you've seen our facebook group- are you worried? I mean, if that male stripper guy is the top of our class, I think my head would explode.

I would think 10-20 percent of applicants use SDN, with 5-15 percent actually posting. My guess is ~10 spots taken off the waitlist so far.
does anyone know how the financial aid for mcg work for the waitlisted ppl? Lets say you get off the waitlist in mid/late may. Are you suppose to pull 20k out of your ass?
My friend who got off the waitlist told me that he paid out of pocket with no financial aid at all. Is that the norm or exception?
Even though I have only been waitlisted, I was told to fill out a FASFA by the (June?) deadline or I couldn't be considered for financial aid. It's my understanding that you should always fill out the fasfa, no matter what you think might happen.Anyone can fill out the FAFSA, which is free student aid. On the form it allows you to input up to 5 or 10 schools at which you think you might be accepted to.
dang, u guys are fast. I guess i'm not the only one refreshing this forum religiously.
I will be withdrawing my acceptance to Mercer in the next couple of days so I hope that opens up a spot for some of you guys who are waitlisted at Mercer and really want to go there.
I hope your withdrawl is for a good reason, may I ask if (and what) other school you were accepted too?

Thanks for posting, and congrats to everyone getting in! Did anyone hold multiple acceptances? This is my first time posting (been reading for a couple of months), I just wanted to add to the waitlist movement. I got in MCG Thursday as well with a 3.7 and 30 MCAT. I interviewed in the first week of February. Good luck to everyone else still waiting!

those from UGA: did you use Langford? My friend is considering not using the premed "packet" that Langford's office uses and I am just trying to see if anyone doesn't?
Why wouldn't your friend use the committee letter?
I went to UGA as an ug, and didn't apply to med school until in grad school. Where I am now there isn't a pre-med committee so it's a non-issue but I've heard that schools strongly recommend a committee letter...
my sentiments exactly.
is there anyone out there who didn't? Just wondering.
any updates?
I just had a B.L.T. Or is that not what you mean?
My friend got in off the WL at MCG. 30 MCAT, don't know GPA.
