I was only planning to take one gap year; however, I was recently offered a research role with a two-year commitment at a T5 school working in clinical research coordinator in immuno-neurology w oppurtunities to publish. I am extremely confused if I should take the offer or just apply with one year gap. I have accrued 300 hour clinical volunteer/1000 research/800 non-clinical volunteering. Would research at an institution like this raise prospects for med school/residency? Thank you!

Yes, it will raise prospects. Unfortunately, if that is the only reason you would do it, there is no guarantee of success AND there is also no guarantee that you wouldn't be successful without it. As a result, only do it if you want to, not because you think you are going to achieve a different result on your applications because of it.
