If your dental application is strong enough .... Take the higher paying job. Does the clothing store know that you are only temporary btw? 60K a year ..... to start. What happens when they like what you do and offer you a pay raise? Take the clothing gig. Sounds more interesting than working in a lab.

They do not know I will only be there for a year. I felt that doing good work for 1 year and then leaving is not something that never happens. Dentistry has been a dream for years, so a raise would do little to change my mind.

Well.... As a former employer of employees.
I would be pissed if after investing time and money into your training ... that you decide to leave. Maybe a non-issue.
