Hi Guys,

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a great beginner/medschool prep genetics book. I did not take genetics as an undergrad and feel I should, at least glaze over a book or 2 on the subject before I start medschool in August.

Any recommendations on a clear, concise genetics text/beginner review book?

Thanks Guys

Hi

If you want a book to read for a nice and easy introduction to genetics you really cant beat <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0192860925/dissectionroo-20" target="_blank">The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins</a>

The bible for genetics is undoubtably <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/019879276X/dissectionroo-20" target="_blank">Genes VII by Benjamin Lewin</a> but its probably a bit too in depth for your needs

A good middle ground book with excellent reviews is <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0471330612/dissectionroo-20" target="_blank">Human Molecular Genetics</a> .

Hope that's of use

Chris
