getting instate tuition

does anyone know in what states its easier to become a resident and get instate tuition?. my dean mentioned its really easy to get florida residency, whereas at the nycom interview, they stressed the difficulty in doing so. b/c i guess in the end, it really will make a HUGE difference in the amount of loans to pay back.

doesnt matter if you're a NY resident for NYCOM, its private, so tuition is the same for everyone. from what i hear, to get NJ residency, all you need to do is go to DMV to get a jersey license with proof of living in NJ. i live in NJ, so i am not sure, but maybe some out of state UMD-NJ-er's can inform you better...

actually...NSUCOM pamphlet says that whatever your status (out-of-state vs. in-state) is when you matriculate is what you pay for the entire four years. They also said this during the interview day, but I don't know how strict they are after you're actually there.

Texas doesn't seem that difficult to get residency.
