can't do it if you attend a foreign medical school.
No military scholarship unless things have changed. However, MGIB does cover some medical schools in the caribs (ross,saba, st.g, etc.) Starting August 2009, this is a 36 month free tuition and books +E5 Basic housing allowance.
PS: You must qualify (i.e. served post 911 to get that)
PS: Once you get a US residency, you do qualify for the FAP program. Financial assistance during residency years at a 1 for 1 exchange rate. This is not a bad option for people in residencies >4 yrs or desire fellowships like pain management or hem/onc. You get a real (>65K a year, not the resident 30-35K))income and are able to start paying back some of those med shcool loans.
PS: Not sure, but the military also has a lot of loan forgiveness programs. You just have to do some research.
