I feel like Micro Made Rid Simple is MONEY on antimicrobials. The 007 cartoon is particularly memorable (but you need to add a "swinging, MEZmerizing watch" for mezlocillin ). Seriously though, the text and charts are awesome for drugs.
You basically have to keep looking at the different classes until you've memorized them. Remember basic representative samples from each class, then learn the ones that deviate.
You mean drug of choice for a given disease process? You don't really need to know that kind of information for Step 1...more the mechanisms of action, common indications for THAT CLASS of medication, common side-effects and contraindications.
