Title.

Should that affect me much? I got a B+ in lecture though. Overall GPA of 3.2.
Heavy on extracurriculars: 100 hours of Pharmacy, 50 hours social services, etc. --and I'm only a 3rd year. Should I consider applying, or wait til next year, after I have taken speech, physio, anatomy...?

Cheers and Happy Holidays!

If that is your only C in a science class, I would think you will be ok.

It seems a little late for applying this year. The deadline for many schools has passed. PharmCAS and supplemental apps take alot of time. Have you taken the PCAT? Most schools won't accept the January PCAT unless it is a re-take.

Anatomy and Physiology are pre-reqs for alot of schools. Are you taking them winter semester?

Earning a C in a 1 hour class will barely affect your GPA. Go ahead and apply if you know you can get the references and write your personal statement on time.

you might as well apply ASAP. For one thing, you will likely not have a decision before Fall grades are released (especially if you're 1/4 system) and can therefore update your transcript. For two, if you DO get in, then awesome. If you don't, you don't really lose anything besides the nominal investment in PharmCAS, etc. And you might gain invaluable knowledge from schools by asking what you can specifically do to upgrade your application.

It's a win-win to apply as soon as you can.

Yeah I would certainly not let this hold you back. That would be a huge mistake if you don't apply ONLY due to that. From my own experiences, dwelling on a bad grade whether on a test or in a course can only hurt you. The grade is set in stone now, and either retake it later on or keep it the way it is and move forward. Just stay positive and kill the rest of your classes!
