Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum. I just got my results for the NBDE part 1.

Anatomy: 76
Bio/Physio:79
Micro/Patho: 82
DA: 77
Composite: 87

Just wondering from other people's experience if this score is competitive enough to get into an advanced standing program for international graduates. My ece gpa is 3.25. I'm a bit confused and dont really know where I stand. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks!

in new pattern 87 is very nice score just go ahead and apply

hey bmw hi there. Congratulations for such a nice score. u ll definitely get admission with this score and gpa. And if ur toefl score is above 100 u wont ve any problem. Can u tell me what books did u refer for ur preparation and how many months u studied for it pls, cause i did not score that well in new format, so if u can give some advice pls.

Well, I basically studied for about 3 months. But the 1st month, I wasnt studying so seriously. It was the last 2 months that I really started studying hardcore. I concentrated on the dental decks, and released exams. I went throught the decks about 4-5 times, and released exams 2 times. I also did the Kaplan review book only once. I think the most important are the dental decks! I hope this helps jaishreekrishna, and wish you all the best!

hey bmw congratulations on ur score,cud plz tell me where did u get the released exams frm 2000 onwards.i just have the unreleased exams and remembered questions till 2005.

hey dr kooks,i bought most of the nbde material from a student on one of these forums which had these unreleased exams of 99,2000 n 2002.looking for the released exams but donno where to get them from!

i purchased all the released exams from the ADA. I think there were 8 or 9 booklets total.

congrats to those who got good scores.I have a big problem. i got myresult and got a score of 89. but in one subject it is only 63.when i was going through the admission requirements of some college they have mentioned that we should successfully pass in each sections.does that mean i have failed in this subject?also do anybody plan in to apply in colerado school of dental science? in their website the dead line for application is jan 2007.does anybody know what is the deadline for 2009 application.

I don't think you need to get a score > 75 in each subject in this new format. You got a good score. Congrats!
Man, if only you had got some more correct ones in this subject, you would have sailed above 90. WHat was the subject btw.? Was it too hard.?

It was physio-biochem.but when i was giving the exam i didn't feel it was too difficult.also in my result they wrote the date of exam as march 7 th where as i gave the exam on feb 20th.hope i got my own result.

If I was you I would stick with the 89 in case my real one was even lower!! haha..89 on new pattern is awesomee!!!! 🙂

Hi everyone. Like the original poster, I'm also new to this forum. I took the NBDE Part 1 exam for the first time in March and got my results today:

NBDE Part 1 Score (Overall): 84

Anatomy: 73
Biochemistry/Physiology: 68
Microbiology/Pathology: 76
Dental Anatomy/Occlusion: 77
​

ECE GPA: 3.7
TOEFL iBT: 110

I'd appreciate if anyone could give me some feedback about where I stand. Do I stand any chance if I apply with these scores? Should I retake the the NBDE Part 1 test?

Will taking the NBDE Part2 exam help with admissions if I get a better score?

I am canadian PR, right now concentrating on canadian exams...will retake NBDE at a later date.

On the deckscorp websight, they have some material on ethics that you can download and print out. That material is definately enough for the ethics part. Because I just started to learn and I saw that the 1998-2005 release materiale was the same with the 2006 board exam

I've got 86 in part 1. my ece gpa is 3.6. also i have phd degree in prosthodontics with ece gpa 3.8. toefl 104. i have 15 publications in Usa(8), Turkey(3), Azerbaijan(4) , 2 poster presentations in Bulgaria and 1 book in Azerbaijani about overdenture prosthesis. I have teaching experience in preclinic and clinic level for 4 years. what is my chances to get admission. I have really confused with Nbde score which i received.

how is the score of 3.08??
