I have looked for an answer everywhere, but have had no luck:( I was wondering how S/N (pass or fail) classes are calculated into your AMCAS GPA. There are some classes at my school (like directed research) you are required to take S/N. Please Help!

they are not counted in your gpa at all.

Wow! Thank you sooo much I have a friend that is applying for grad school and he says the schools consider an S equivalent to a C-. Is this for classes that you are not required to take S/N as well?

yeah, any class that does not have a letter grade is excluded from your calculated gpa.

Okay, thanks, haha. At both schools I've been to the letters are P/F.
