This may be a silly question...

Can someone please tell me what W/O stands for? Also what is Inc+- and W/O+-?

Look at your GPA calculations on your application.

Thanks!

That's a pretty valid question...

the W/O is short for without... Inc is short for including...

So the GPA Inc +- would include the + or - in the letter grade ( A- , B+ etc. )

the GPA W/O simply does not account for these + or - ( so a B+ would just count as a B and a C+ would count as a C )

.....So for the W/O ... a B+ would equate to a 3.0 rather than a 3.33

Some dental schools prefer to use the +/- system and others prefer to use grades without +'s and –‘s.

I hope this somewhat helps!

What about for those of us who go to a university where all grading is done on an A/B/C/D/F scale without +/-? I also signed up for two online courses with another university that uses +/- in its grading. So if I am asked for grades without +/-, I know I should disregard any +/- from those online classes, but if I'm asked for grades including +/-, should I only include the +/- from those online classes because I no longer have exact percentages to go by for most of my other classes? I'm not at the point of applying yet, just curious how to solve this.
