I heard from Wingate 2 days ago, but I haven't heard anything from East Tennessee.

what did Wingate say, if you dont mind me asking? They emailed me maybe 3-4 weeks ago apologizing for their delay in admissions response, but that's it.

I got that email as well. They called and offered admission and said I had 30 days to accept their offer. I hope you hear soon! My cousin also applied and he hasn't heard anything yet.

I have been following this thread for sometime, and thought I would jump in because things are getting serious, and I have some questions.

First off..my stats:
Overall GPA: 3.31
Post-undergrad GPA: 4.0
Pre-req GPA: 3.43
GRE:
V-
154
Q-150
W- 4.0
Hours: 300 outpatient in 2 settings, 100 inpatient/acute.

Applied: A bunch lol.
Interviewed: Marshall, UMES, South College, Methodist University
Rejected: Shenandoah, Marymount (didn't qualify), Indiana st.
Wait listed: Elon
Accepted: South College. Not really excited, because of their online style, but oh well, you take what you get and hope for better!

Okay, now my questions:

1. Did anyone have issues with USA's app? Like you submitted things and they were never "received", and you could never get through to anyone!? I'm thinking about asking if they can just switch my application to a diff admission cycle, sense they failed on their end.
2. Did anyone hear from Lynchburg, Thomas Jeff, or WVU? Don't want bug them if they haven't yet sent out any notifications.

Thanks in advance!

USA was by far the most stressful app I did. (Applied last cycle). Submitted part 1 in November or something- they said electronic transcript preferred so that's what I did. They never opened the transcript file my college sent so it expired. They kept telling me my transcript was never received. They NEVER picked up the phone. I called weekly for two months. Finally spoke to someone in February. They told me to resend the transcripts (no way am I repaying for that I had 3 schools worth of transcripts) so I just gave up and cursed them for my time and money wasted. Sorry for the rant... But I would def suggest you try to switch to a diff admission cycle if I were you!

Anything you can tell me about AZ to help with my decision?

Very excited to have finally been accepted into physical therapy school. My first couple semesters of college were very rough for me. I decided to work harder to receive better grades and it definitely worked. Each semester my GPA increased and my most recent semester I received a 4.0. Work hard to get A's and research schools acceptance statistics before applying to determine if you are competitive or not! Researching this website helped a lot in the application process. Use it!

University of Missouri has recently started inviting applicants for interviews. I received the phone call on 2/1!

University: California State University San Bernardino (Graduating March 2015)
Major: Kinesiology (Pre-Physical Therapy Concentration)
Overall GPA: 3.45
Pre-Req GPA: 3.35-ish
GRE: Taking at the end of July
Extra-Curric: Kinesiology Student Association, Community Outreach Program, DisAbility Sports Swimming Coach, DisAbility Sports Coach, Hubcap Leader (church), Information/Greeter (church), Young Children's Ministry (church).
Volunteer: 55 outpatient ortho (in progress); should have over 80 in two more weeks; starting inpatient soon, and am shooting for 80 there too, so hopefully over 160 hours total by the end of summer, and I want to keep accumulating hours in different settings through next April.

Applying To:
7 schools: Loma Linda U., Azusa Pacific U., U. of St. Augustine (San Marcos), San Diego State U., Chapman U., Western U. for Health Sciences, Long Beach State U. ...because they are all local (within about an hour drive from home). I'm applying for the 2015 cycle for all except Azusa Pacific, which starts in February, so if I am accepted, I wouldn't start until February 2016.

Although my GPA will be higher by the time I graduate (estimating 3.6), this is where I am at right now. I recognize that I need to do REALLY well on the GRE to at least compensate for my GPA a little bit. Good luck to everyone!

UPDATE!

I applied to all 7 schools for the 2015-2016 application cycle. Starting working as an aide in an outpatient ortho clinic and retook a biology class in the fall to turn a C+ into an A. Was rejected at Azusa Pacific (in October) and Loma Linda (last week).

Just received email today that I am offered a spot on CSULB's waitlist. Still waiting to hear back from other 4, but have accepted spot on waitlist. Will post a formal update with updated GPA/GRE/other stats soon.

University of Missouri has recently started inviting applicants for interviews. I received the phone call on 2/1!

I got a call from University of Missouri too! I saw that you were accepted to another school already. Will you be attending Missouri if you get accepted?

It really just depends on a lot of things. Going to the interview is a nice way to find out if the school and program is right for you. I go to a big school right now so that campus feel is important for me. Some other things that I will consider is tuition, clinical opportunities, start-date, facilities, etc. At this point I am unsure on my #1 choice, because I have only been to the PT school that has accepted me. I am looking forward to the interview as well as leaning more about what the program has to offer.

Anyone have any advice about the waitlist? Emory is my #1 choice which I'm still waiting to hear back from, but USF was by #2 as a backup. I'm a little nervous that since I got on the waitlist for USF, then I might also get on the waitlist for Emory, which will be a huge disappointment. Anyone have any advice, and does anyone know the chances of getting accepted off of a waitlist? Thanks!
