FINAL UPDATE
I hope to serve as inspiration to all those with
really low stats. I graduated from college in 2010 and I had waaaaayyy too much fun. My attitude back then was to just get by and pass all my classes with C's so I can graduate and go to grad school. I ended up taking 2 years off to gain experience and continue taking classes to raise my GPA. Since I started retaking pre-reqs and finishing up other courses I never got anything below a B (would've been a B+ plus the community colleges don't give out +/- grades lol). My advice to all those in a situation like mine is to keep taking classes and gain as many observation hours in as many different settings. You need to show the schools that you are actively working to become a better student than you were. Also, if waitlisted for an interview, update the admissions director of your progress frequently. Keep faith in yourself and don't give up! You can achieve anything as long as you are driven and keep a positive attitude.
