My interview was at 1pm that day. But I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. They said that it could take up to three weeks for them to come to a decision. Relax and stay positive! 😀

Thank you. Hoping to hear some good news soon. When does NYMC need a confirmation by?

They don't exactly give a deadline because they want you to make a reasonable decision instead of sending in a deposit and then deciding to go somewhere else.

Oh that's nice they don't make you send a deposit within a couple weeks. Well I hope I get some luck with TJ if you open up that spot since you're stuck on NYMC.

Hey there,
Did you interview at MGH? Or was it a rejection email flat out? Reason being, I'm shocked because your stats are way more impressive than mine, and I find it hard to believe they didn't ask you to interview. I received an interview for 1/30, just wondering. Congrats on the acceptance ! That's a great school.

UPDATE!! ACCEPTANCE!!

I have also been a lingerer on this forum for a while and at times I got nervous I wouldn't get accepted anywhere because of my low undergrad GPA. I didn't even think I would get accepted into a CA school, but I think my prerequisite GPA where the best attempt grades are used really helped me out. So to give hope to those out there with low GPA's. There is hope! 🙂 Also, I applied to a lot of schools that took the higher grade for retaken prerequisite classes, which really helped boost my prerequisite GPA. Just make sure that if you do retake a class that you don't get any grade lower than an A. Also, I took the GRE 3 times and I don't think its that big of a factor for some schools whether or not you take it multiple times, as long as you try to get your highest score.

So, here are my stats! I hope this helps for some of the people with lower GPA's. It will be tough, but it will all be worth it in the end! 🙂

Has anyone heard back from UCF with a Jan. 29th interview date so that I can quit holding my breath since I haven't heard anything yet? Their other interview dates have passed (Nov. 20, Dec. 16, Dec. 17), so I assume it's not looking so great for me.

Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

I sent an email to follow up with them on 12/14 and they told me they were unable to provide information about individual candidates due to the volume of applications. :\

Yeah I applied to Alvernia, but I don't know a whole lot about the program. Since they don't have rolling admissions I'm guessing we won't hear anything back till after the February deadline

Hey! I'm in the Alvernia program now, it's awesome - early hands-on experience if that's what you're looking for. We went to the clinic once a week for 6 weeks this past semester (first) and it really helped to apply what we were learning in the clinic. They give you your first full-time experience the first summer. If you are nearby I'd definitely visit the school and talk with Dr. Chris Wise, he's awesome and is THE reason I applied and accepted. I didn't hear from them until March about whether or not I was accepted, but they weren't on PTCAS when I applied so it may be different this year.

Does anyone have any tips or advice for interviewing at George Washington University?

Off topic, but I know a lot of you are seeing this so I would LOVE your input.

I am looking to apply in 2016 for the 2017 cycle. I just took the GRE today, and received low-ish scores. Most of the schools I will be applying for has their average scores between 154-157 for verbal and quant, respectively. Bear in mind, that is the AVERAGE. The minimum for most of these schools are between 144-146.

That said, I scored a 149 on both sections (writing section unknown as of now). Obviously I know that the higher the score, the better, but I was wondering how much schools care about this? Is it a "you meet the minimum and you're good"? I want to hear from YOUR experience. Have you or do you know anyone that has gotten in with low-ish GRE scores?

Also, have a CGPA of 3.9, so keep that in mind. I know that high GPA and low GRE is much better than the contrary.

Of course I have time to retake, but I would prefer not to so I would love some opinions on this. My high GPA indeed helps out with the low GRE, I will be having excellent recommendations, and my extra currics look pretty good. What do you all think? What would you do? In my mind right now it's not worth the extra $$$, time, and effort given that everything else is strong.

If it helps at all, the schools i'm looking at are.

UW Madison, Mayo, UW Lacrosse, and NAU

Does anyone have any tips or advice for interviewing at George Washington University?

Just be yourself! First you have a group interview with 3 other students... probably the most intimidating portion, but fun! Lastly, you have an individual interview where the faculty member basically talks about any weaknesses from your application file and then you have pretty much the rest of the time to ask questions so come prepared!
