Acceptances:Wash U, Northwestern, IUPUI, Rosalind Franklin (declined)
Rejections: none yet
Interviews: Emory (declined), Midwestern (declined), Belmont (went to interview but will decline)
Haven't heard anything from UNC or Duke but o well.
Looks like I'll be deciding between Wash U and Northwestern... Still waiting to hear from UIC in January though I love that school too 🙂
Figured it was time for me to add my stats onto the growing list. 🙂
University: Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP)
Major: Early Chilldhood / Elementary Education
Overall GPA: 3.92 (when I graduated)
Overall GPA now: 3.89 (after taking my pre-reqs)
Pre-Req GPA: 3.83 (Sci & Math), 3.79 (Sci), 3.72 (all pre-reqs)
GRE:

490V, 590Q, 4.5A
460V, 630Q, 5.0A
Extra-Curric: I am a certified spinning instructor, Les Mills BodyPump instructor, CPR/AED/First Aid certified, during my undergrad I did a lot of volunteer work/activities/part-time jobs, but since I am now in the "real world" I work 40 hours a week and teach 6 exercise classes a week.
Volunteer: 100+ hours of volunteer work between Out-patient, In-patient, pediatrics, visiting nurses association, etc, etc. I have seen almost all of it with the few volunteering stints I did.
(I noticed a lot of people have WAY more volunteer hours... that is so commendable... Since I am "older" and work full-time M-F I don't have much time for volunteering, especially when most clinics/hospital PTs are done by 3-4pm... Hopefully not having as many hours won't be a downfall...)

I really want to get into UNC. Anybody think I got a shot?
TheOx777,
Thanks for the reply.
I e-submitted before UNC's November 1st deadline, on October 31st actually. My application just got verified a couple of days ago, and will be sent out during the next mailing date. Do you think that will hurt my chances? Will I still get a good look? Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it.
Got a letter in the mail; I'm waitlisted at Thomas Jefferson. I guess I was wrong about hearing from them next year.
Yeah, but you have two programs that are both great to choose from, but from the outside looking in you can't go wrong with either one, but thats why I said from the outside looking in.Honestly, some of these waitlists may end up being blessings in disguise. I honestly wish either Pitt or Chatham would've told me "no" because I am having a really, really, REALLY hard time choosing. First Pitt, then Chatham, then Pitt again and now I'm leaning back towards Chatham. Ugh! It's like a seesaw of emotion!

Hi Wahoo-They were sent out the first week of October. Good luck to you!!
Thank you much. Congrats on your acceptances and ultimate choice to attend Duke. Hopefully I'll be joining you as Duke is my first choice!
One last question, and this is a big one--How in the world is a Tar Heel gonna fit in at Duke???? I mean, it will be hard enough for me, as a UVA Wahoo to gel, but a Tar Heel? You better start replacing some of that light blue with a darker hue...![]()
I hope you get in!! I bet I get lots of darker blue for Christmas...but my deep dark secret is I've always been a huge Duke basketball fan!!😉
I really hope you get in!! We can be classmates! (Unless you decide to go to Pitt.)
For those who got accepted already (to Duke or other):
1)How did u guys find out? Through phone, email, or slow mail??
2. Did you guys all interview??
3. Whend u guys e-submitt to ptcas??
Thanks!!
