GPA's, GRE's, XTRA's, ACCEPTANCES

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It's alright with a waitlist you still have a shot! You haven't heard back from West Coast?

@asl10 I haven't heard anything from WestCoast, but I felt good about my interview so I'm hoping for a response soon. Why, have people been getting acceptances yet from them already?

Did Lynchburg send you an email saying they are putting you on the waitlist or "unable to come to a decision at this moment"?

I gave them a call since I was worried I wouldn't hear back from them until after CU's deposit deadline

Did Regis let you know when they are sending out the acceptances, wait list, rejections.

I've always been so intimidated by many of the posts on here for the incredible profiles (you guys are all wonderful), but I'm just very happy and grateful to join everyone with an acceptance! Even with a low GPA, there is definitely hope!

When did you hear from Georgia State? I have seen a lot of people talking about their acceptances and interviews from there and I have literally heard nothing. Did you get an email from them saying they received your application or anything like that?

I received an email back in late November saying they received my application, and then a rejection later in the mail in late December or early January. I was really disappointed, especially since I got an interview last year and not this year. If you haven't heard anything you should probably call.

Impressive! Where are you going to attend?

I have a quick question, can you rescue you seat in more than one school since they give you very limited time to make a decision???

I have a quick question, can you rescue you seat in more than one school since they give you very limited time to make a decision???

Yes you can reserve your seat in more than one school. Make sure to decide quickly and tell the school that you don't want to attend and that you want to give up your seat so it can go to someone else!

I understand, I just need a bit more time to make the right decision and I thought u could only reserve one seat at a time.

Gah! Another waitlist... damn, I just need ONE acceptance. That's it!!! Just one and all I'm getting are waitlists and/or rejections. :wtf:
If it is at all possible for you, schedule a visit to Nova Southeastern. They don't do interviews, but you may be able to make a good impression and get moved up to the front of the wait list line. I took a tour and met with a couple of faculty and I'm convinced that gave me that little bit extra to get accepted. Give them a face and personality to put with the application🙂. Plus it shows that you're the type of person to go that extra mile🙂

This should become common practice. Schools should conduct polls on SDN as part of the acceptance process. 😉
I told Nova Southeastern about this site. Hopefully schools will at least start to monitor this site. There's a wealth of people on here who would be an asset to a program.

As you can see I applied to way too many schools. This forum has been invaluable support throughout the process, so thanks to all of you. Do I regret applying to this many? Honestly no. I was fortunate enough to be able to afford it. Oof that sounded haughty :/ And the reason I turned down a bunch of interviews was because I got into Duke mid-Dec, way before I had heard back from many schools and it was one of my two top choices (MGH and Duke), and I felt I didn't need to interview and fly and pay for flights to other schools. I had no way of predicting the order that I would hear back from schools and it was a kind of a stressful nightmare. After I hear back from MGH today (fingers crossed) I'll make my final choice between the two! Wheeee!
