Look at the schools you're applying to. Most want at least 150 on both sections or a combined of 300. You need to see, but you will be much more competitive if you get your Verbal up above 150.

I know, I don't know if I can justify going there without some scholarship. It's around 142,000 for tuition alone.... yikes! I hope some scholarship info arrives in the packet in a few weeks! :corny:

It seems you have a tough choice, I don't think Boston U is that much more expensive then USA, or is it?

I'll be going to the info session next month. Hopefully they'll talk about scholarships then. I was so shocked I got in!! I really don't want money to be the only thing that keeps me from going there.

CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ANY ADVICE/TIPS/HELP AS I PREPARE FOR MY INTERVIEW AT UCF? I AM FREAKING OUT, THANK YOU!! 🙂

It seems you have a tough choice, I don't think Boston U is that much more expensive then USA, or is it?

Yes it's tough considering I am also waiting to hear from my state school (Rutgers) about acceptance. I also have the MGH interview on the 30th and can see myself there too! I think money is a big factor but now that I got into BU it seems hard to turn it down, considering it was a dream/reach school for me! USA tuition is around 87000, so it is considerably cheaper. Also COL is cheaper in FL than MA, but I would be far from my family and BF. I'll be going to an info session for BU in Feb too. Are you gonna choose BU?

Which one are you attending? What is your top choice school? I hope they do ! I wonder what the stipulations are to earn scholarship... I was shocked too... It was a huge reach school for me.

Did you have any intentions to apply to NEU for PT school?

Congrats on your acceptances. What was the process for American International College? Was there an interview?

Yes it's tough considering I am also waiting to hear from my state school (Rutgers) about acceptance. I also have the MGH interview on the 30th and can see myself there too! Probably not...its 100K more expensive then the state school I got accepted to...it would be nice cause its a nice way to get into all those great hospitals in the Boston area but I dont think I can live with all that debt...we'll see i still need more time to think about it.

I'm not familiar with the schools you're applying to but I think your GPAs look solid, especially if you get a solid GRE score and interview well/write good essays. I would suggest getting more inpatient hours and other settings (SNF, acute care).

Oh man 🙁 do you also know what your pre req GPA was for GRU?
Yeah, I think it was a 3.55? My cumulative GPA is extremely low. I may blog about it one day. But that's for another day. Are you waitlisted there, too? Interviewing? What's your situation with them, you seem awfully interested about their program.

Yea the merit scholarship might not be in the cards, but the need based is interesting since I'm currently 23.

Will you be turning 24 this year? Reason being, if you are under 24... You have to submit your parents tax returns or something which could affect your need based awards. The lady in the email said they offer modest need based scholarships, you also can be a graduate resident assistant or something... It's like a 20-25 hour a week commitment though. I think they also have work study. Too bad we couldn't get the merit scholarship...
