Asian Civilization: China
B+ ... very interesting in the beginning, and all of a sudden we were into extensive, in depth debates and analyses on Chinese philosophy (Confucianism, Taoism, Realism). Also had to read the most convoluted, dry, and bizarre book on these "schools of thought" and write a 10 page essay critiquing various arguments made in the book and how they relate to real-world ideals (didn't read a damn thing past page 30 and winged the essay). After that, I didn't give a damn about my grade or my near perfect 3.99 GPA, never went to class, bsed everything, and ended up with a B+.
Needless to say, the same mentality carried on the next quarter and I tanked HARD.
On a side note, most interesting and enjoyable elective I've ever taken was Art and Architecture of Ancient Rome. Amazing class.
