Grade Replacement

My friend keeps telling me that some MD schools replace grades when calculating gpa like DO schools. Without looking at every site how do I know if this is true? I told them the retake just counts as an additional class but according them some MD schools do it differently. Does anyone know of any particular school that does this? I would retake classes but I've always been told that it doesn't matter and a higher level class is better

Not saying none exist, but I can't think of a single MD school that utilizes grade replacement.

Same here.

There might be some MD schools that only consider your most recent 120 credit hours...but not sure on that either
